Having established a presence in North America in 1906, today the Bosch Group employs 42,000 associates in more than 100 locations in the North American region (as of Dec. 31, 2023). Bosch generated consolidated sales of $16.5 billion in the U.S., Mexico and Canada in 2023.

Bosch first established its presence in Canada in 1911 during the early days of our automotive footprint expansion. The first office was opened in Montreal in 1954. The company has since expanded its presence in the region through several legal entities that operate as part of the Bosch Group: Robert Bosch Inc. — including Automotive Aftermarket, Power Tools, Building Technologies and Thermotechnology, BSH, Freud, ETAS and Rexroth with offices in various locations all across Canada.

Our regional organization provides solutions to four main business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Consumer Goods, Industrial Technology, and Energy and Building Technology.

Our history

In 1886, Robert Bosch founded the “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering” in Stuttgart. This was the birth of today‘s globally operating company. Right from the start, it was characterized by innovative strength and social commitment.
